Nombrecito helps parents choose a baby's name through a step-by-step quiz. It can be taken alone or as a couple, and it suggests names from all over Latin America.
It also has name rankings by country and year, a name search with meanings, and lists by origin, such as Guaraní, Mapuche, Quechua or Nahuatl.
It is a complete product: an API, a website and an iOS and Android app that share the same logic. I built it working with AI at every stage.
Highlights
- The quiz questions live in the database, so they can change without releasing a new version of the app.
- Several question types, including questions that only appear depending on a previous answer.
- A shared TypeScript package, with the types, the API client and the quiz logic, used by both the website and the app.
- The website is compiled to static files, so Google can read all of it.
